Abortion is a very divisive issue. We all know that. Both sides equally passionate about the topic. In the interest of full disclosure, I am very much pro-choice. It’s the conclusion I’ve arrived to, but I understand that others might not feel the same way…and thats ok.

There have been numerous discussions regarding this topic and the public accessibility to the procedure down to who foots the bill for those who can not afford it. Which leads to this.

There is one line from the MetroNews article that really set me off.

“The Governor says taxpayers who are opposed to abortions should not have to pay for them. “I’ve always believed it should be optional, not mandatory,” he said on Wednesday’s MetroNews Talkline.”

I’m sorry, what? There are plenty of tax-funded programs that state government implement that are not universally agreed upon. What about the folks who WANT to pay for those programs? hrm.

Amen, Dave, Amen. The war on the poor and women will continue b/c this self-righteous man abuses his position of power to look down at women in need enforcing the view that women are second class citizens. Even though abortion is legal, anti-choice zealots are putting up barriers every day to block access to safe and LEGAL abortions.

I need to be president…abortions for everyone!
